    Nolan –

A Yankee fan? Really? Shouldn’t you be supporting Man U and Juve as well?

A medial meniscus tear, while not good – is not that bad either. If it’s just a small tear, a doctor can simply cut that part of the meniscus out. He can walk out of surgery and he be back on the pitch in 3 weeks. If the tear is big, and they have to sew it back together – he’s out until April, earliest.

A doctor? Me? No, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

LOL, Tomas you are a riot. I won’t even go on and try to understand how surgery goes so I am taking your word for it.

OK – scratch my previous prognosis, it’s not the knee cartilege (meniscus), but a tendon (meniscus tendon). That sucks.

sad for mutu, but jojo should be close

and we’re gonna have one big midfield and no back it looks like…

but i’m more concerned with how frey is doing.

I’m from New York, not Manchester thankfully.

Poor Mutu the man just can’t catch a break. Maybe we are going to make an offer for Pandev after all. Why do injuries all happen at the same time?

And yeah, as much as Mutu has done for us I’m more concerned about Frey and Gamberini.

Do you think Rudolf would make a better backup striker instead of Castillo because he did seem good last night and the other game in Debrecen,

    hmm

Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino recently revealed that the club were concluding a deal to take Boca Juniors defender Ezequiel Munoz to the Artemio Franchi in January.

However, the player’s agent has denied all knowledge of the transfer. In addition, he revealed that Real Madrid had already started negotiations with los Xeneizes for their young centre-back, who has been likened to Roberto Ayala.

“Did something happen when Corvino travelled to South America? I’ve no idea – the only thing I can say is that there was no meeting either with Boca or with the player,” Marcelo Simonian said to Tuttomercatoweb.

“If by that do I mean that Fiorentina have never followed my client? No, I mean that Fiorentina have followed the player in the past but not recently.

“Are Real Madrid behind them? Yes, Real Madrid have an option [to buy Munoz].”

I have never heard Real Mierda linked with Munoz, and I can’t find his name mentioned once on the Madrid tabloid websites, not to mention they just bought another young Argentine defender who hasn’t been proven to be good enough.

Typical merda.com, I don’t know what to think.

i thought what people referred to as the “meniscus tendon” was just the meniscus.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Knee_diagram.svg
with mutu’s age, a meniscus tear shouldn’t be that big of a deal.

I agree, alex. The meniscus cartilege is not a huge deal (unless it has to be sewn together), otherwise, he’s out a month, maybe less. If it’s a tendon, different story.

Looks like a month. I guess it was just a small tear that could be excised. Not too bad!
