Losing to Inter is understandable, if unfortunate, but we absolutely under no circumstances can drop points to Atalanta next week. The table is just too tight.

I’m sorry but we needed at least a point out of this one. We should have lost this one yes, but we shouldn’t have lost to Parma the week before that, and now we are in deep, deep shit.

But hey, at least we are the luckiest team in Serie A!

November has always historically been our bad month, remember we are playing with a severely reduced team

In the past few years we traditionally make a surge in the second half, it’s far from the end of the world but the table is much tighter this year than usual and we need to start hoping other teams collapse.

We should be fine but damn, we really need to look into making some moves in the winter.

I don’t think we can complain about that. We had our chances and didn’t take them; we gave up chances and eventually paid the price. That’s football.

We still got a lot of season left to go, I’m not sure if its quite time to sound the alarm.

All in all it’s a fair result but it’s such a garbage way to concede.

Nolan — I don’t think the shit is that deep, actually. Yeah, our position in the table doesn’t look too good right now, but the thing about the table being this tight is any mistakes from any of the other teams drops them just as fast as us. We certainly have absolutely no room for error, and we cannot even afford draws right now, but it’s not the end of the world. (And certainly not time for wails about how we won’t get a top four finish, as will certainly be cried on this blog in the wake of this defeat.) We’re only a third of the way through the season; there is time yet to recover.

After all, everyone, let us look on the bright side: Palermo and Juve lost as well. And a weekend can never be a complete waste if Palermo and Juve lose.

the loss of Mutu + JoJo + Gambero + Marchionni and having 2 primavera players on your bench…thats what were facing, we’ve basically been fielding a B-team for the last month

Would we be back in full force by the time we face Atalanta? Frey, Gamberini, Mutu, Jovetic, Marchionni, everyone?

It’s sad because most of The Offside writers are respectful to us, (well Chris can be obnoxious but he’s a quality front page writer so I can let it slide) but of course being higher profile clubs they attract glory hunting buffoons. I’ve actually had less trouble with Juvemerda fans than anyone else, there’s plenty of annoying Juve fans but most at least appreciate la Viola as a rival. Both Milan teams are the worst, as much as I doubt any of these trolls are actually Milanese I wouldn’t put it above those Lombard bastards.

The tightness of the table is absolutely ridiculous this season. (And by “ridiculous” I would mean “awesome” if we were only higher up. I like close contests — as long as we win them!)

    I meant isn’t.

Sounds bad when I heard we’re number ten, but three points away from fourth? That’s wacky.

According to some reports, an Inter fan fell over the tier of the stadium into the stands below, early reports say his condition is grave at the moment. My thoughts with that fan and those close to him.
