He plays internationally for Morocco though, to be fair.

Wow, El Hamdaoui will be a good buy. This has been a positive transfer window so far, but I hope it’s not the end. We need to bring Biglia and El Hamdaoui for certain, plus another midfielder, then sell Montolivo and Marchionni.

Would we take Donadel back? He wants out at Napoli.

Only if we make a profit. Haha, sounds callous, but hey.

I’m not believing anything until it is official. I always get my hopes up then get let down come the end of the window when no good purchases were made.

Agreeing completely, Brett. Aquilani was this close… *makes gesture*

Biglia (translated as balls) is now backing off an says he wants to stay in belgium until summer.

    in other news,
reading this article, you would think the player stomped on the cherman’s face,

    http://sports.yahoo.com/soccer/blog/dirty-tackle/post/DTotD-Jermaine-Jones-declared-nastiest-player-?urn=sow-wp7684

    am I missing something?
i really don’t want to think that him being black has anything to do with this…

That’s better than not getting him at all.

That Jones tap was bad but the reaction was harsh. Still not as unfair as what our friend Ujfalusi received when he knocked down Mr. Lionel Messi, though.

ya, i’m betting there will be an appeal as well

    back to the peninsula,
i’m betting we get crap streams, if any, this weekend.

Novara, with 4 draws at home and Fior, with 3 draws on the road coming off a long layoff. this has a rusty 0-0 all over it. at least the weather will be clear…

udi’s pres reiterates that Flor Flores stays until June, but says he has no problems with a candreva loan, Corvino can talk to Cesena. makes no mention of the option, however.

So we go to the Novara game without any new reinforcements? Who’s playing? Another JoJo-Adem duo? Doesn’t sound too bad, especially with Salifu, Cassani and Behrami now fit.

    I wouldn’t mind Candreva.

Again I must reiterate my admiration for Rossi’s style of public statements. He doesn’t pretend like Sinisa or ADV, he simply outlines his plans, the ups and downs, and continues with his work.

lol lazio down 3-0 at siena an hour in.

lineup tomorrow should be something like:

    boruc
    gamberini-natali-nastasic
    salifu-monto
    cassani-lazzari-vargas
    ljajic-jovetic

Behrami? Lazzari… Well, inevitable, since Adem is up front.

I must say, even as a makeshift formation, Adem and JoJo up front makes me smile. Let’s hope it produces something.

Fiorentina require a striker who is useful for the side, as there’s no point just bringing someone in to make up the numbers.

Nail on the head here. I feel like this has been the transfer policy for the past few windows.

  • Slakas |  January 7th, 2012 at 1:29 pm

    cornercorner

no you’re right, behrami should be in there somewheres

maybe behrami instead of salifu, or monto moved forward into lazzari’s spot

    cornercorner
  • Brett |  January 7th, 2012 at 1:33 pm

    cornercorner

I would like if Lazzari was on the bench and Monto was the pushed up guy and Salifu was still in there but I don’t think that is going to happen.

Flipped it to Fox Soccer highlights today and again heard them call Siena’s park the Artemio Franchi. What the? Scared me for a second, I thought I had missed the match.

  • Brett |  January 7th, 2012 at 11:54 pm

    cornercorner

Ya they have the smaller Artemio Franchi.

I’m excited to see our two creative and talented Balkan youngsters up front together, if Nastasic plays also we’ll have quite the influence. Although, I would like it if we got an outright striker soon.

El Hamdoui? Would be an interesting tranfer. Talented player. Good technique, flair and able to fashion chances for himself. Downsides: hasn’t played highlevel football in months, will perhaps need time to adjust. Bit of a prima donna, has failed at Ajax due to poor mentality. Perhaps now eager to show he can still shine.
