Yes, while Ted is an unapologetic homer, I have to agree with dude. We can advance out of this group, if not win it. If the attack gels, our boys could be real dangerous, in spite of the mediocre D.

What’s the word on Mutu’s availability for Sunday?

I’m optimistic about this group as well, Ted. Bayern and Lyon might be favorites. But, I don’t believe our men can’t match them. We have a very good squad, I’d say this is the best squad I’ve seen since the first time I knew Fiorentina and became a fan of them (1998). They are a lot better than the 99/00 squad, which finished their CL adventure on the second group stage.

If our men play at their best, with full determination, I think they can top the group table and of course advance to the next round.

Anyway, I’m still hoping that Corvino will do something important to strengthen our defense.
