There is more gold trim on the Viola one and less trim on the other two. That’s about it.

The entire thing is an opportunity for Lotto to try to sell some replicas, which is a much more difficult thing to do in Italy than in Britain.

Trust a Juventino to like the red one. I’ve never understood its purpose. Tanti anni fa the Viola used to play the entire season in Viola, as it doesn’t really clash with anyone else’s colours in Italy. I’d be quite happy with the Viola and the white, and basta.

Maybe I didn’t pay enough close attention…but can you tell me how it’s different? The three look the same to me. I like them though, especially the red one.

In all honesty, I am not a fan of del Piero, and if someone gave me a microphone and a national television audience I’d launch a bitchy attack on him myself. I don’t know what Comotto said specifically, but I’d probably agree with it. And Torino treated him atrociously after he got injured, so as far as I’m aware, they started the “open war”. That said, it does look like he’s not too sensible when it comes to watching his mouth in front of cameras, so hopefully Fiorentina will put a stop to that.

The kit thing — you know, I’ve never understood while “kit reveals” are such a big deal, especially in Italy when every team has very defined colours. It’s like I was saying about Milan — look, they’re going to have vertical stripes, of red and black. And the Viola’s? Are going to be purple. In fact, everyone’s kits are more or less going to look exactly the same as they have always looked. So what on earth is the big deal. *rolls eyes*

His bitchy attack on Del Piero was funny more than anything, he couldn’t dream of cleaning Del Piero’s boots, but the best one was when he threatened “Open War” on Torino if they didn’t let him go to the Viola. Considering he’s from Turin, and had been with the Granata for a decade or so, that’s pretty lowbrow.

Really, alessio? I haven’t heard anything about Comotto’s nutjobby-ness; I’d be interested to hear what kind of personality he has to offer. The only things I really know about Comotto are a) he’s a solid player; and b) he has fabulous hair.

Frey’s contract extension is one of the most relieving things I’ve heard in a long time. In my opinion, he’s one of the greatest goalkeepers in the world right now, although since he’s at Fiore I realize most people don’t notice this. Those three point-blank saves within a minute he made against Ibra in the first Inter-Viola match last season carved out a little Frey-shaped space in my heart just for him.

Comotto is actually from Ivrea, which is indeed in Piemonte (and the Provincia di Torino). I assumed that Daniele was referring to the fact that he had once been giallorosso (and is therefore blessed in D’s books, unless one’s name is Chivu, etc.).

Jorgensen is not the greatest right back in Viola history, and will need help against top flight Champions League opponents, but even the most Viola-made among us realise that they aren’t going to win the thing (this season).

It’s also possible that Prandelli may try Comotto there, with Gamberini and Koldrup in the middle (and Vargas on the left, of course).
