I think Osvaldo is demanding more respect, after all, he did beat Juve, and he got us into the Champions League, I really don’t wanna see him go. Plus I met him when I was in Florence this summer, hes a really nice guy.

*coughs* Now, about the football: the squad list for Reginna has been released:

Comotto, Da Costa, Dainelli, Donadel, Frey, Gamberini, Gilardino, Gobbi, Jovetic, Kuzmanovic, Melo, Montolivo, Osvaldo, Papa Waigo, Pasqual, Pazzini, Santana, Storari, Zauri

Semiolli and Kroldrup are officially hurt (Kroldrup was injured in Denmark training), Jorgensen’s only recently released from the hospital, Vargas (as Martha said) played 180 minutes for Peru on a hurt ankle, and Mutu is probably a great deal more hurt than anyone, including himself, is admitting.

I certainly expect Pazzini to start up top instead of Gila; if Prandelli still starts Gila instead after two international games and with Bayern in three days, I will seriously begin to wonder if he’s trying to drive Pazzo away. And I really hope he’s not, because I like Pazzo, and want to see him in purple for many years to come.

Osvaldo I don’t know about, because while he’s probably the natural replacement for Mutu he hasn’t exactly been making friends in the backroom with the way he’s been running off at the mouth lately. I’d like to see him too, because again, I like Osvaldo, and would like to see him stay, but I won’t be surprised if Prandelli decides not playing is appropriate punishment for complaining about not playing.

I’ll give you pretty good odds that Jovetic will start, though.

Prandelli: I Will Not Join Juventus
Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli has distanced himself from joining Juventus and he admits he has no intention of leaving La Viola…

The former Bianconeri man has been heavily linked as an alternative to Claudio Ranieri if he recieves his marching orders from directors at Vinovo.

However, Prandelli has pulled out of the running and he insists he will not join the Old Lady because he wants to see out his contract with the Gigliati first.

“I want to win in Florence,” said the coach.

“Juve? I will not comment on this because I have respect for this city and Fiorentina fans. I have a contract to respect and I want to make this team win and improve.”

The coach then had a few words on the visitors to the Artemio Franchi tomorrow afternoon when Reggina come to town.

“It’s the most important game of the season for us and we want to win it. We have to take three points,” added Prandelli.

“Reggina will fight but we have to be ready. It will not be easy but I want the right spirit from my side.”
