This is the "Panchina d'Oro" ("golden bench"), the traditional "Coach of the Year" award that is voted on by the managers themselves. The "Oscar" that Spalletti won last week is a newer award voted on by the players (not all of whom vote) and promoted by the SportItalia television station. Prandelli is a fabulous football manager and an even better human being. We should all aspire to match him both personally and professional. Grazie Mister. JCS, it’s a different award.

I always like Prandelli and was very sad when he quit Roma and latter found it was to tend for his sick wife.
