Actually, I thought the problem was with the team tactics. Prandelli didn’t know what to do about the double-teaming in the centre marking Mutu and the Jovetic out of the game. I was surprised that when Jovetic came on he didn’t move to the left, and Pazzini actually take over Mutu’s spot. I have more confidence in Jovetic’s finishing now than I do in Pazzini’s. I think the latter’s confidence is totally shot, and I really wouldn’t know how to fix it.

That’s why I think Santana was ineffective. He couldn’t get a clear pass to Mutu.

I agree about Almiron. He’s not quite useless, but he doesn’t really belong out there except as a sub in games where Fiorentina have the lead.

It was a very frustrating match, and it’s hard to identify a single target for one’s frustration.

And I’m not sure that I “don’t like” him, but I am increasingly disappointed in Pazzini and tend to believe that he is not going to be capable of reaching the next level. If I was forced to chose between him and Jovetic, I would take Jovetic every time.
