Story of Our Season: Fiorentina 0 Juventus 5

By: Mike R | March 18th, 2012

Italy Soccer Serie A

This just about sums up our season. Zero across the board, from the team, to Delio Rossi, to Della Valle. We deserve more than this. I’m too angry for a proper recap.

Andrea and Diego: Vaffanculo.

    lol – who dat

europe goes into daylight savings time this weekend, so Fior’s game will be the “regular time” on sunday 9am edt

kharja’s agent, kharja wants more time
“Since his return he really wants to play, I guess he thought to take the field a little more often, but it apparently was not. I can not hide the fact that now his future is uncertain.”

I don’t think the future is uncertain at all, once the season ends, off kharja goes, no mystery at all. no more train rides…
Kharja did play the whole first half of the friendly today, tho

Might see acosty instead of Cerci this weekend.

Behrami’s Twitter: “Sometimes I wish the days were shorter … bad times”

The team is getting ready to go to the stadium for a friendly against the Montecatini.

still in the first half. brace for amauri, a goal for vargas and a PK for jovetic, lazzari earned the penalty. 4-0
lots of offsides, mostly on amauri…

another for vargas, and at the end of the half, boruc takes out a man after a back pass, no card cuz of no shot. gives up the PK and the goal. 5-1 halftime (no that’s wrong, amauri scored from lazzari to make it 6-0, then the washington generals goal. 6-1 at the half)

big changes for the second half
second time: Neto; Nastasic, Camporese, Ansalone; De Silvestri, Salifu, Behrami, Romulo, Marchionni, Cerci, Olivera.

    Romulo – 7-1
    acosty for salifu
    cerci 8-1

(personally i think these friendlies against a bunch of goats are about as useful as if they were goats. you should practice against harder opponents than easier. that’s part of fior’s offense trouble, they practice against such a bad defense (their own), everyone they face in a real match is tougher. if fior practiced against the toughest defense in the league, every team would seem easy by comparison…)

    9-1 another for romulo
    10-1 marchionni
    11-1 acosty from cerci
12-1 acosty from cerci again. and it ends 12-1

Im really sorry if i sound bad but i cant f***ing understand it. If jo jo and valon can risk a stupid freindly 5 short days after the most important game of the year ( at least for the city, fans and morale) couldnt they be at least subed in during that game?!?!

i’d rather not risk the two most important players to this squad that are at the time healing an injury than play them in a worthless match, sorry but we need them if we are to avoid relegation

could’ve been worse, Miroslav Klose injured in lazio’s friendly today and it’s reportedly “not minor”

he will miss this weekends match for sure

well here’s part of the problem
    http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn108/slakas/FiorentinaProblem.jpg

    rossi is coaching and

    a) gamberini is staring into kharja’s ear,
    b) vargas is staring off into the distance,
    c) amauri is staring up into the stands,
    d) cassani is staring at teh ground and stretching
    e) someone else just staring at the ground
    f) right after this shot, Montolivo crosses his arms and looks away, anyone who understands body language knows what that means.

lot of these guys aren’t listening and are checked out.
some are paying attention, but not all. bad bad bad

here’s the video the pic came from, it’s about second 16

Looks like they treat it lik a kick around in the park we all used to do in lunch break at school. they have the same attitude in the league tho, thats a big problem right there. the video makes me miss florence tho… big time

a good article about the rise and fall of Corvino. But I don’t agree the signing of Mutu was a bad deal. He was our king. Anyone interested could take a look at this long article.

how in the world could anyone say mutu was a bad signing, sure it ended sour but the dude played his heart out every time he took the field, he loved the club and the fans

he also could play with anyone.. toni, gila, osvaldo didnt matter, he’s my favorite player of the DV era

before the suspension, any free kick mutu took was a possible goal

    in other news
might be a marchionni sighting in the starting lineup.
Olivera and Ljajic have “muscle fatigue” and Lazzari has a knock. Kharja might get some time too

    at the half, in firenze
    primavera losing 1-0 to torino
still 0-1, viola coach ejected for arguing. viola continue to press and have owned the half, just need the goal
    finale – primavera lose.

now we don’t even have them for solace…

“According to Tuttosport, the Della Valle brothers will make a clean sweep in the squad by replacing many players and directors.”

If you’re on the squad or a director, would hearing this motivate you to work harder?

On a related note, Giuseppe Rossi’s agent says he’s ‘keen on returning to seria A’. Not that it would happen, but if the DVs could find 20m to bring him in, would that be enough to gain fans’ trust?

But would Rossi want to come to the team? If he said yes to la Viola I would be ecstatic. Isn’t he more of a supporting striker though? A role that we have Jovetic in. Could we have two SS on the field at the same time?

giuseppe rossi is a winger, like cerci, altough he is much better.it would be great if we could get him, but i think hes going to inter, whos prob going to change alot of players.

i guess it all depends on how they plan on building the squad and what formation they are going to go for. to be realistic, they can’t get rid of all the dead weight players in the squad because it would be too thin then and they would risk making the same mistake in bringing in ordinary players to make up the numbers. that said, i feel felipe, olivera, kharja, marchioni, lazzari and cerci, and romulo(monty, amauri, natali and kroldrup will all be gone at the end of the season too) are all players the team could do without, but i don’t think they all will leave.
i don’t see the dv’s spending 30mil on one player (rossi), because then they would spend less on other players and we would end up one player better than we are now, when we need to be at least 3 or 4 players better. i think quag from juve would be good because he can play anywhere on the forward line, which would be handy given rossi, can’t decide on a formation. krasic would be good too, if they decide to play with wingers (4-2-3-1) like they did in the prandelli era.
