The latest on the Mutu Saga is that that epitome of integrity (cough) Moggi junior says that “there is no way that Mutu will be leaving Florence”.

I’m also pleased about Comotto for exactly the same reason.

Today’s signing is Jefferson, a 20 year old Brazilian striker who last played for Parana. I would not expect him to see much (if any) first team action this season.

What do you guys think of Comotto? I think he is a smart addition, I was extremely concerned about depth in the defense. Together with Vargas I’m beginning to get pretty optimistic about next season!

Aw, Monty. Such a sweetheart. I hope he does well at the Olympics (even though I, in good conscience, cannot root for the Azzurini), and I’m crossing my fingers that La Viola get through the qualifying rounds without any trouble. I might regret Milan not being in the CL this year, but I can’t regret that Fiorentina is there.

I just, you know, wish you had taken Juve’s spot, rather than ours.

I think this was the biggest achievment of Fiorentina in the UEFA Cup. Maybe they didn’t win it, but they won the hearts of many people around the world. I have always liked your team, but now I like them even more.
